Kershaw has a revolutionary new design on their "SS" knives which features the "Speed-Safe" torsion bar mechanism for assisted knife blade opening. Simply give the thumb-screw a very small push, and once the blade is about 10% open, a powerful spring snaps the knife blade open the rest of the way. This is about as close as you can get to an automatic knife without pushing a button!
